The Department of Rehabilitation Services (DRS) is a joint state and federal program designed to help people with all types of disabilities obtain education, training, job placement and job support.

Getting Started

Each state DRS office determines who is eligible for DRS services. To apply, locate your local office and call for an appointment. You can complete the application prior to the appointment. Bring medical information to your appointment to demonstrate your eligibility for services.

Counselors & Providers

Arrive on time for your appointment, and you will be assigned a DRS counselor. At your appointment, your counselor will tell you the next steps. It is important to stay in contact with your DRS counselor. Once you’ve been approved for DRS services, you will be assigned a DRS provider. If you have a provider in mind, you should let your DRS counselor know.

Once you’ve selected BiosWork, your DRS counselor will contact Casen Rogers to provide your referral information. He will call you to schedule a BiosWork intake appointment.

Overcoming Barriers

BiosWork is new to DRS, but we bring more than 25 years of experience in helping people with disabilities overcome barriers to employment. We use assessments, job development and job coaching to leverage people’s gifts and talents, experiences and interests to help them find and keep jobs they love.

DRS is dedicated to expanding opportunities for employment and economic self-sufficiency by helping Oklahoman’s with disabilities bridge barriers to success at work.
